Santorini is so bright, white and striking.  I couldn't help myself and added lots of color to the hotel.  This took me months to paint.  I changed the colors a few times until I was happy with it.

I took a lot of photos when we were in Santorini a few years ago and have been thinking about painting scenes from there for a while now.  The colors in the sky reflecting on the buildings were beautiful.  As I usually do, most of the painting is from my imagination.  I usually use my photos just to get an idea of what I would like to paint.
