This painting has been sold. If you would like something similar I would be happy to paint it for you. Please email me at paintingbyleslie@gmail.com

We were in Bermuda many years ago before I started to paint. I uncovered some old photos the other day and just had to sit down and paint this. Had to search through my paintbox for pastel paints and tiny brushes! It was a challenge to paint using such small brushes but lots of fun.

Research, Research and more Research!

This week I have been researching how to market my paintings.  Since I haven't been painting that long and I am self-taught there is a lot that I have to learn.   I joined fineartamerica.com.  Also, I found artbusiness.com which has quite a bit of very good information that I found helpful.  It is much easier to paint than to market!  I guess I am like most artists...I don't enjoy the business end and all the paperwork that goes along with it.
Took a break this morning and played some tennis.  It is another one of my passions.  The weather was beautiful (not too hot) and there were no bugs (we have had a really bad bug problem this summer here in Florida).  All in all...perfect.
I finished another painting yesterday.  Have to take a photo of it tomorrow morning then I will post it.  It is called Bermuda - Pastel Perfection.
Have a nice day....Thanks for looking at my blog.

Busy Day Yesterday

What a busy day I had yesterday.  Dropped off "Island Lunch" in the morning at the Palm Beach International Airport for the "Artists at the Airport" Exhibition.  Met a lot of really nice artists there.  Some of the work was great.  My painting is in good company!  I was really nervous, couldn't eat breakfast.  This is my first art exhibition.  It will be hanging on the second floor, across from the Traveler's Lounge, near Sam Snead's Restaurant.  If you are in the area, stop by and have a look.  There will be an Artist's Reception in September or October.  When I have more information I will post it.  It is open to the public and is free.  After dropping off the painting, I did a Costco "run".  I always buy more than what is on my list there.  Never just go in and get what I need!  Of course, then we did "lunch" there.  Half of Florida eats lunch in Costco!  Yummy, not very good for you food, but I love it...  Best part of the day was that when I went home I had time to sketch a painting that I want to start painting today.  Can't wait to start to paint it.
