Piazza della Rotonda - Step 3

This is the early stages of "Piazza".  My client was very happy with how it was coming out.  He had a few suggestions and I went to work finishing the painting.  I am lucky to live in a warm climate and I love to paint outside on my lanai.  Every morning I take all my supplies outside and set up.  I usually paint all day, from early morning till dinner.  It's so much fun creating a painting.  It's amazing to see the ideas in my head appearing on canvas!

Piazza della Rotonda - Step 1

I have been very busy the last month or so.  I was commissioned to do a painting of the "Piazza della Rotonda" in Rome by one of my clients.  The painting has been completed and I thought you might like to see how this painting began....
I usually do some sketches first and send them to my client.  They are very rough and most of the time I do them on tracing paper and  I put the canvas I am going to paint on underneath the paper.  I like to get a feel of  how the painting will look on the canvas.
I then send the sketches to the client and get their input.  Once I get his ideas I do another rough sketch.
