After my vacation I decided to try a new color palette.  Most of the time I use a lot of red but I am in a mellow mood  these days, so I toned my colors down a bit.   I painted Bermuda - Pastel Cottages with some tiny brushes and with a small palette knife.  The palm trees, sky and flowers have lots of texture.   Please let me know what you think. 

Research, Research and more Research!

This week I have been researching how to market my paintings.  Since I haven't been painting that long and I am self-taught there is a lot that I have to learn.   I joined fineartamerica.com.  Also, I found artbusiness.com which has quite a bit of very good information that I found helpful.  It is much easier to paint than to market!  I guess I am like most artists...I don't enjoy the business end and all the paperwork that goes along with it.
Took a break this morning and played some tennis.  It is another one of my passions.  The weather was beautiful (not too hot) and there were no bugs (we have had a really bad bug problem this summer here in Florida).  All in all...perfect.
I finished another painting yesterday.  Have to take a photo of it tomorrow morning then I will post it.  It is called Bermuda - Pastel Perfection.
