Edinburgh, Scotland is a magical place.  This flower shop was just outside the city.  We went to see the "Tatoo" at the Edinburgh Castle one night while we were there.  There were marching bands from all over the world performing there, street performers, fireworks at night....unbelievable....like going back in time.

More experimenting with texture!  I built up this painting with lots of paint.  When we moved to Florida my husband and I landscaped our home all by ourselves.  I always wanted to have lots and lots of different colored flowers around my house and that's what we planted.  We live in a gated community and all the neighbors thought we were "the new gardeners". We received quite a few job offers!

I love trying different kinds of paints.  In this painting I used some metallic paint and in certain lighting, parts of the painting shines.  My "mom"in law loves the colors in this.  She thinks it would really look nice in a kitchen.

This is my first painting.  It is from my imagination.  I didn't know I could paint when I painted this and it was a big surprise.  After this I became addicted to painting and now I am happy as a clam painting just about everyday.

I went on a "Photo Shoot" with our Photo Club to Palm Beach.  There are beautiful shops and flowers in bloom everywhere.  I learned something new....all of the walkways off of Worth Avenue are called "Vias".  I had a lot of fun painting the flowers around the arch!

After my vacation I decided to try a new color palette.  Most of the time I use a lot of red but I am in a mellow mood  these days, so I toned my colors down a bit.   I painted Bermuda - Pastel Cottages with some tiny brushes and with a small palette knife.  The palm trees, sky and flowers have lots of texture.   Please let me know what you think.

Every once in a while we go down to South Beach.  Lincoln Road has some great outdoor restaurants.  I love the art deco hotels and the vibrancy of Miami!

Went on a "Photo Shoot" in Palm Beach.  There were lots of really great shops right off of Worth Avenue.  I took almost 1000 photos that day.  Had lots of fun with the people in our photo club.  There is no Cotton Shop...just used my imagination!

Coney Island was such a special place for me when I was younger.  I couldn't
wait to go there on Sundays.  My grandparents lived right off the boardwalk and you could see the Aquarium, the "Wonder Wheel" and the "Cyclone" from their apartment building balcony.
