Edinburgh, Scotland is a magical place.  This flower shop was just outside the city.  We went to see the "Tatoo" at the Edinburgh Castle one night while we were there.  There were marching bands from all over the world performing there, street performers, fireworks at night....unbelievable....like going back in time.

More experimenting with texture!  I built up this painting with lots of paint.  When we moved to Florida my husband and I landscaped our home all by ourselves.  I always wanted to have lots and lots of different colored flowers around my house and that's what we planted.  We live in a gated community and all the neighbors thought we were "the new gardeners". We received quite a few job offers!

I love trying different kinds of paints.  In this painting I used some metallic paint and in certain lighting, parts of the painting shines.  My "mom"in law loves the colors in this.  She thinks it would really look nice in a kitchen.

I went on a "Photo Shoot" with our Photo Club to Palm Beach.  There are beautiful shops and flowers in bloom everywhere.  I learned something new....all of the walkways off of Worth Avenue are called "Vias".  I had a lot of fun painting the flowers around the arch!

Daily Paintworks Auctions

Yesterday I sold my first painting, "Bermuda - Pastel Perfection",  using a Daily Paintwork's Auction.  I am happy to say everything went smoothly.  I must say David Marine, founder of Daily Paintworks, is great.  He seems to have everything down to a science for both the buyer and the artist.  I'm very pleased and am going to use Daily Paintwork's Auctions a lot.  I think it is fun to bid on the paintings...a great way to buy art.  You'll see "Click Here To Bid" buttons on this blog under the painting that is being auctioned whenever there is an auction going on. 

Daily Paintworks and some of my goals

New and exciting news for me.  I have become a member of "Daily Paintworks".  It is a new online Art Gallery.  I am going to be adding all of the paintings on my blog to my Daily Paintworks Gallery and you will be able to view my work on my Gallery Page.  You can buy my paintings there.  Also, they have "art auctions" where you can put in a bid for one of my paintings.  I am pretty excited to try this out.  I will of course still put all of my paintings on my blog.  I am still researching other online "art stores".   I am on the Dailypainters.com waiting list.  They are right up there in places where I want to display my art.  Hopefully, they will have an opening soon for me.     I don't want to display my paintings with the giant online art galleries.  There are just to many paintings on those sites and I would lose the personal touch with my customers.
